Fighter Cover kept the fighters away. No where to hide, feeling bloody naked out here skipper! Mid Upper claims one FW190 has damaged. Flak over target took out both Ailerons and shook the bomb aimer up just as he was releasing our load. I had a look and it was wide. Not much action on the return trip. Dont know how these yanks do it! I will take the night anytime.
