Queen Anne's Revenge II Mission 92 AAR : Île de Cézembre

Home is where the heart is. And that truely is back in jolly Britain after such a mission. I am liking that card game called poker since it gave me the nice sunglasses I have now used to great effect for the two daytime missions we have been assigned.

Jerry does like to come out to play during the day, eh. Thankfully, several of our friendly fighters were about to help keep Jerry at bay. However, Jerry still hit us, much more so on return leg. Upon landing, a quick survey by our aerocraft master keeper, Sgt. Greerson, shows that our tail guns are destroyed (which we knew and fortunatly Jerry did not seem to note), both wings took a root hit, hits to both rudders, a hit to engine #3's oil tank (which self-sealed, thank god!) and quite a number of other holes were found in Queen Anne's Revenge 2.

And, everyone is hale and hearty and downing their well-deserved pints as I write this. Sgt. Turner, our bomb aimer, told me prior to his departure for the pub, that he hadn't quite decided if being able to see the bloody target in the sunlight was worth the numbers of Jerrys that we encountered or the fact that their flak could more easily spot us (we were buffetted by flak, but somehow, none seemed to hit us). We believe we hit with about 30% of our eggs on target.

Sgt. Greerson promises that Queen Anne's Revenge 2 will be prepared for her next mission.
