PM016 Mission 94 AAR : Gelsenkirchen

PM016, pilot officer A. Mankiewicz reporting. We were crossing over the Dutch coast near Leiden when we got surprised by a Tame Boar which snuck up on our rear. By the time he finished working us over, three passes later, we were in no condition to continue, not the least of which was the autopilot being out. Despite heavy damage to the bomb bay, we managed to jettison bombs, and I manhandled the plane home. Crew Chief Report: Replace mid-upper turret, replace #2 oil tank, replace port wing flap, replace autopilot, repair port rudder, patch numerous holes in bomb bay, and elsewhere.
