Another new engine needed — Me110 caught us napping still over the north sea and shot out the engine cables causing it to run away. We feathered it sharpish and carried on — only to have a run in in the target zone with another 110 (twice) and a single engine fighter. Despite the interference we drove them off damaged and dropped on the markers before coming home.
The engine proved to be the only damage to anything of note — nine other holes in the skin of the aircraft and that was it. — Home to bed.
