Keira Mission 101 AAR : Brunswick

Jerry was onto us well before we got to the German coast when the rear gunner spotted a Ju88 approaching. Our evasive technique must have saved us as nothing of consequence was hit during the exchange.

Just prior to the target a 110 got in a sneaky burst on us before we saw him. That smashed the starboard brake but then Sgt Farnsworth (mid upper) and Sgt Aldrich (nose) combined to shoot him down.

The target was clear and we avoided all the flak, searchlights and wild boars. There was however no cause for celebration as we still contrived to release our load well short of the markers.

Homebound a second Ju88 made a nuisance of himself knocking out the port elevator and hitting Sgt Harp in the thigh.

Our landing with just the one operational brake was just on the safe side of acceptable.
