City of Regina Mission 102 AAR : Stuttgart

Quiet flight until on approach to target. Lone Bf110 came up on us but missed his shot....damaged port ammo boxes on his last pass. As we lined up on the target, we were hit by spotlight! That attracted roving wild boar which was quickly dispatched by Sgt. Bridges with our nose machine guns. From the glare of the spotlight, it looked like that '109 was almost split in two. We were very lucky that no flak hit us, and despite the poor weather, Sgt. Bridges put our gift to Adolf on target!

On return leg of mission, it was quiet until we hit the Dutch coast when a Bf110 spotted us. Cpl. O'Malloy put a few rounds into him and he went away, possibly trailing smoke.
