We were surprised on the way to the target by a 110 that took a nick out of our Engineer Parker but didn't do anything else to us.
A second surprise attack wounded Jack Malloy but despite the wound he did a great job putting the bombs on target.
We made the bomb drop and turned for home. Another attack by a 109 was broken up by Malloy when he shot down the enemy fighter.
While the rest of the night was dark we returned safely home.
