Attacked by a Me-110 from nowhere on the approach to the target. Tore up the starboard wing, but didn't hit anything serious. Quinn and Weddell returned fire, but the 110 stayed with us, destroying our rafts and damaging the port wing root.
Then the flak took over, taking out Quinn's turret, but Tennenbaum kept us lined up on the TIs. Without tail guns, we were fortunate to have an uneventful trip home.
