We are off on this run. hoping for a great bomb run this time out. We are undetectected thus far but are caught in the searchlights! A hail of flak comes our way! the St. wing is hit! the Bomb Aimer is also hit in the blast. a light wound though! The Navigator is hurt in another blsst, which rattles the Aircraft! The Bomb Run is way off after this hammering, by the Flak! We slip away & get into the cover of darkness! We fly off & head for home. The trip back is at least uneventful, as we already had quite enough excitement for one evening!
