Rhodes' sharp eyes kept us safe tonight. He spotted three EA, a Ju-88 and two Me-110's trying to sneak up behind us, giving me plenty of warning to take evasive action. Vallente swore he hit the '88, but no one observed any effect. We were untouched.
Flak over the target did manage to ding Xenakis' oxygen supply, but it kept working. Despite the buffeting, Vallente got us our first on-target run.
No enemy aircraft spotted on the way home.
