PM018, flight engineer D. Pelton reporting. A tame boar came up behind us near Brussels. The rear gunner, G. Xavier shot him down. Next thing I knew there was a massive explosion on the starboard side. Must have been anoter 110 snuck up on us. I looked over and, as if in slow motion, our wing was slowlt floating away. The plane seemed suspended in the air, then flipped over and began diving. I have no idea how I got out. Any of the other lads about?
