We reached designated target after three encounters with enemy, two Bf110 were dispatched by accurate defensive gunfire by Sgt. Kendrick. The third, a Ju88, hit us several times but inflicted no apparent serious damages. We also encountered a Bf109, but he did not hit us. We were off target, but believe to have hit target with one or two of our bombs.
On flight home, we did encounter a Bf110 on flight home, but he failed to hit us with any of his shots.
Landed safely.
