The Luftwaffe must have taken the night off. Valetti, our new navigator, had a very gentle introduction to the skies over Germany — there wasn't an enemy aircraft to be seen. One burst of flak was uncomfortably close, but Yanacek kept us lined up on the TIs. Upon landing, we found one small hole in the skin of the port wing.
