PM020, pilot officer A. Porter reporting. PM020 is a new Lanc, with three new crew, including myself: wireless operator E. Smith and mid-upper gunner G. Zandvoort. We made it almost all the way to Siegen before we were suprised by a Tame Boar. We lost the port aileron, as well as one oxygen bottle each in the mid-upper turret and navigator's position. We avoided flak, but inexcusably put not a single bomb on target. No incidents on way back to base. (16 hits, 143 Peckham Points)
