Unfortunately all crew Remember 1st September is missing in action against Siegen in 2nd flight.
The aircraft was attacked twice by night fighters.
The first attack Ju 88-Expert aircraft survived but over the target was attacked by second Bf 110 piloted by Experte.
Unfortunately the plane was hit in the bomb bay and bombs detonate immediately, killing the entire crew.
There are no remains of either the machine or the bodies of the crew and, therefore, are declared missing in action.
Honor their memory. They sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom of the peoples of Europe. Even though they were in the squadron so short, we remember well how much they wanted to survive the war and did not realize how slim the chances are.
