PM020, pilot officer A. Porter reporting. We were east-southeast of Kassel when were surprised by a Tame Boar. We suffered a fuel tank leak, which self-sealed, and lost heat to the mid-upper turret. Rear gunner G. Yankton shot him down. I elected to descend and carry on. We avoided a second Tame Boar on approach to Dresden. Flak threw our aim off, and it looked we put nothing on target. After our bomb run, we were surprised by another Tame Boar, which knocked out the mid-upper oxygen system, my flap controls, and put a serious oil leak in the #4 engine. G. Yankton shot him down as well, for his fifth kill in only six missions, making him an Ace. Out of oil two zones later, I shut down the #4 engine, but the return trip was otherwise uneventful, until we got back to England. The lack of flaps caused a bit of a problem on landing when it looped off the side of the runway. With all due respect, "crash" seems a bit harsh, sir. (17 hits, 141 Peckham Points, repairable by next mission)
