Boom Shot Mission 134 AAR : Duisburg

Busy over the target. A Me-110 came up under us, but fortunately managed to miss us. Searchlihgts missed us, too, but the Flak was better-handled. A burst started a fire in the waist, knocked out the cockpit heat, and disabled the port elevator. It knocked Zambrano off target, too, while Byington was driving off a FW-190 that attacked from starboard.

Dropped to a warmer altitude over the Netherlands, where we were tracked by searchlights across the country. But the Flak here couldn't get the range, and we made it home without further damage.
