During the long run in to deepest Germany, three Ju88s took it in turns to have a go at us. Multiple hits were scored but in the main these occurred in the less than vital regions of our Lanc.
Over the target the flak managed to find us. Sgt Ash our bomb aimer was hit and we also had to feather the starboard outer engine.
The bombs then went well wide of the mark.
Homebound was all quiet.
