Mission 145 Debriefing
Target: Leipzig
Once more ill luck plagued us on our mission. Our flight was uneventful until we approached Brunswick's air space, where we were surprised by a Ju-88 equipped with Schräge Musik. The enemy caused superficial damage to the starboard wing before being driven off by our defensive fire. Almost immediately, a ME-110 took his place. Again, he was driven off by defensive fire, but not before our bomb bay doors were hit and rendered inoperative. At this point, I had little choice but to abort. The flight home was uneventful.
