Sexton, our pilot, elected to continue the mission rather than jettison and turn for home. We dodged one 110 over the Frisian Islands before another jumped us. The #1 fuel tank was holed, but self-sealed. Rear gunner Aardvark got him good on a fly-by shot. Yablonski, the only other survivor, was wounded by flak, before Xavier put 30% on target. Passing back over the Frisian Islands, we got jumped again. Fuel tank fire, so Sexton didn't have time to put down near the coast.
