Mission 147 Debriefing
Target: Kiel
We took off on scheduled, and encountered no opposition during the flight to the target. We took four hits from flak, including one, which set our number four engine on fire. Luckily, we were able to extinguish it quickly. Despite the sound jostling we received from the flak, our run was on target and many secondary explosions were witnessed. As we turned for home, an ME 110 jumped us, but only inflicted superficial damage before Sgt John Houston blew him out of the sky. Our flight home was uneventful.
