Fighters were active both outward and homebound,intercepted four times in total, MU/G claims one T/E fighter destroyed and two damaged. Lost an engine to an oil leak due to fighter attack and finally were shot down over the Dutch border when the port inboard fuel tank caught fire after the fourth fighter interception. All crew bailed out safely and picked up by allied ground forces.
