Jenny Bryce Mission 148 AAR : Pilsen

Mission 148 Debriefing
Target: Pilsen

We took off 15 minutes late due to a mechanical failure. When we got off the ground, we found ourselves behind the stream. As we cross the Dutch/German border Jerry was waiting for us and took us by surprise. His aim was deadly, and with his first pass riddled six shell hits. Most caused superficial damage, but our number one engine was knocked out. The enemy's next pass was ineffective, but his last pass took out our navigation equipment. Our defensive fire accomplished nothing.

With an engine out and all of Germany to cross, it was decided to abort the mission. Our return flight was without further enemy contact.
